Hello! I was born in Charlotte, NC and grew up as a Dale Earnhardt, Tarheel basketball, and Carolina Panther fan. My Cajun wife Phyllis of 40 years is from Louisiana and an LSU graduate, and she has made me love her teams too. We have one married son Evan, daughter-in-law Alex, and granddaughter Clara and grandson Miles who reside in upstate New York where Evan serves as a U.S. History professor at SUNY Cortland. My education includes a BA in Religion from Gardner-Webb University, a Master’s of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Liberty University. I have served as a professor in the School of Divinity of Liberty University for 16 years. I also am a part-time clinical chaplain for McLeod Hospital. My great joy has been to be a pastor for 40 years. My last church was started by me and I served for 27 years. Now it is my honor to serve as Pastor of Olyphic Baptist Church. I have found in the fellowship the sweetest spirit. They love each other and you will love them. It is “Terrific at Olyphic!” Come join us!
